If you have water science teaching materials that you would like to share through the CUAHSI Water Content Portal, contact us at help@cuahsi.org. The portal hosts materials maintained in external repositories, so your content can continue to be developed in its existing home.
Before you contact us¶
Gather the following information so we can understand the resource and how it might fit:
A link to the source. Share the GitHub repository or other public location where the materials are maintained. If the material is in a particular folder or file, include a direct link.
A short description. Tell us what learners will find, who the material is for, and what skills or topics it covers.
The proposed portal section. Let us know whether you think it belongs in courseware, code labs, workshops, standards and protocols, or impact stories. If you are unsure, describe how people use it and we can discuss placement.
Your role and permissions. Tell us whether you maintain the repository and confirm that you have permission to share the material. Include its current license, if one is listed.
Any relevant context. Mention software or data requirements, whether the material is ready to use, and anything that would help learners get started.
What happens next¶
Email the information above to help@cuahsi.org. CUAHSI will follow up to discuss fit, organization, and the steps needed to include the material. The portal team may need to coordinate with you about how the content is presented and how updates will be handled.
The portal generally references the material in its source repository rather than replacing that repository. After your content is added, keep maintaining it in its source location. When you publish changes, follow Keeping your portal content up to date so the portal can be updated too.
For background on how external repositories are connected to the portal, see the content management workflow.
